Classroom Commander application known issues and troubleshooting tips.

- Activated license supports up to 50 students
- Miracast feature is not supported without Classroom Commander App.
|Issue and Limitation||Remedy|
|1||I connected my PC to the ScreenBeam receiver but the Ready to Present screen displays me as “unsupported” and I cannot project my display.||
You must connect via Classroom Commander app to participate and project.
How can I project my Windows 10 system once I’m connected to the ScreenBeam receiver?
Once connected to ScreenBeam with the Classroom Commander Teacher app, you’ll be presented with the “Ready to Present” message on the display.
Select the Beam button on the left menu pane of the Classroom Commander Teacher app
|3||Can I edit the Teacher or Student username?||The username login dialog and list are not editable. This is by design to avoid inappropriate word entry.|
|4||The thumbnail for the student PC does not appear in the Teacher App, even though the student is connected to the ScreenBeam receiver.||
Make sure the Student PC has the Classroom Commander Student app running and connected to the same ScreenBeam receiver as the Teacher PC.
|5||The Student PC becomes disconnected and no longer appears on the Teacher Classroom Commander console. This may happen during a lengthy session.||
This could be due to the Wi-Fi noise in the environment. Reconnect Student PC to the same ScreenBeam receiver as the Teacher PC.
|6||When the teacher disconnects from the ScreenBeam receiver via Teacher Classroom Commander app console, all the Student PCs get disconnected from the ScreenBeam receiver.||This is by design. The teacher can terminate the class session and force all the Student PCs to disconnect by properly disconnecting from the Classroom Commander Teacher app console.|
|7||The Classroom Commander Teacher app gets hidden after un-beaming if teacher PC was projecting in extend monitor mode.||
|8||The TV shows ***** for PIN but I don’t know what this PIN is so I can’t connect||
The hidden PIN is by designed and intended for IT and presenter to know.
The default PIN is set to 12345670 or 1234 to connect. If that does not work, please contact your IT admin or the person in charge of setting up your ScreenBeam receiver.
|9||Teacher App displays "Demo Classroom" and only shows 2 Student PC/thumbnails even though more Student PCs are connected to receiver.||
This is by design.The non-activated licensee Receiver is a Demo Version and allows max of 2 Student PCs/connections. Please contact your IT Admin for a full version with support for 50 Student PCs.
|10||Sound is missing on the Teacher or Student PC when playing a video or audio content. This occurs especially after the PC is connected to the ScreenBeam receiver.||
When the Teacher or Student PC is connected to the ScreenBeam receiver, Windows 10’s audio is automatically switched to output via the Projector/TV speakers. User can manually select Windows audio to output on the desired playback device.
|11||Microsoft Surface device with wireless driver version v15.68.9125.57 fails to maintain connection with ScreenBeam 960 receiver.||
Roll back to known good Marvell Avastar AC wireless driver version 15.68.9120.47.
The driver can be obtained from the Microsoft Windows Update catalog site for manual installation if the rollback option does not work.
|12||Windows 10 system with Qualcomm Atheros wireless adapter (e.g. QCA61x4A) cannot connect to ScreenBeam receiver if the system WiFi is connected to a WPA2-Enterprise AP with 802.11r.||
Update Qualcomm Atheros wireless adapter's driver version 126.96.36.1990.
If the driver version 188.8.131.520 is not available, you can obtain it from the Microsoft Windows Update catalog site.

|13||ScreenBeam 960 receiver wireless connectivity for Central Management (CMS) stops working after updating from firmware version 184.108.40.206 to version 220.127.116.11.||
This is expected. Version 18.104.22.168 architecture combines both internal wireless modules to support up to 51 connections.
Customer with a Classroom Commander license would get a package with a USB Wireless Adapter and a self-power USB hub.
